1) Stay focused. If you get down to business you can achieve anything that you set your mind to.
2) Read. If you don't get into reading now, you might never will.
3) Listen. Open your ears and be ready to absorb (like a sponge)...
4) Sleep. If you get too little sleep your body wont get the right amount of proper energy.
5) Be on time. Not only do you get more learning, the teachers also like you.
6) Be on time to Mr. Moore's class. He will take away points at the end of the quarter.
7) Love your family. They will love you more than they love themselves.
8) Never give up. Always set goals and be ready for the rocky roads in life.
Thank you so much for a wonderful year Than-Fans. I sadly have to go.
Over and out.

Intro essay
Albus Dumbledore once said, “It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your friends, but even more to stand up to your friends”. In the novels that Shmuel, Tom, and Ellie starred in, a great deal of courage was exposed in all three of them. They all were victims of punishments that they didn’t deserve but it still happened. Tortured, beaten, and discriminated against yet, they we're the ones that endured the brutal consequences. If one perseveres and tries to change the world then they will. People can make a difference in this world and it all starts with the courageousness of one and then it spreads like wildfire. As seen in Shmuel, Ellie, and Tom Robinson’s stories, courage can help transform the world for the better.

Inovations
Hello Than-fans. Today we are going to talk about the biggest innovation in the world. Modern farming and agriculture.
We have been able to sustain over 7 billion people and we keep growing. Is this just some voodoo magic. No this is real life. People have worked their whole lives to keep other people alive and they are thriving. We do produce a lot of pollution into the air but we are also trying to stop that as well. We as humans have to look out for each other and this is the first of many steps to help sustain the rapid growth of the human race.

Progressive Era
Hey Than-Fans,
I know I haven't blogged in a while so here it goes (don't judge if I'm still a little rusty from the long break).
What three issues are still around today that were issues in the Progressive Era?
1. FDA regulations. People say that food is healthy and safe in grocery stores, but s that completely true? Is it just a coincidence that America still has the highest percent of obese people in one country? I don't think so. People can pretty much sell what ever they want to, even if they are inspected for harm to humans, but yet, people still get away with disgusting foods on our shelves.
2. Women's rights. People tell you that women have the same opportunities as men, but men working the same job as women almost get a full dollar more per hour. If you think that is equal, then you must have a very corrupt mind.
3. Environment. If you think that global warming is a joke that you should look at the statistics of the gradual rise in temperature. People are masting so much fuels and burning so much energy. We are at a record high of air pollution and this needs to stop.
Thank you Than-Fans. Always a treat!

Can I Transform The World?
Hey Than-Fans,
Today I have a more serious question to ask. How do you want to transform the world?
I want to be a person that helps people not one that is rude or prudent. I want to make my mark and be the person that you walk past and say "he is someone that I want to be with".
How can I transform the world? I would love to donate my time and money to funds or non-profits. I think that this is the person that I would want to be like if I was looking at him like a role model.
Thanks Than-Fans,
Ethan

Who is the most inspirational person in my life?
Hey Than-Fans,
Im coming back with a cosmic blog! Today I will explain who is the most inspirational person in my life.
This is very hard for me to decide but I have thought about it and he is Martin Luther King.
I was touched by his I Have A Dream speech and it helped shape some of my morals today. I enjoyed how he spoke, stood up for others, and most importantly said what was on his mind. He helped shape so of the most important ideas or concepts that people use every day.
I still have a lot to learn but I know that MLK has shaped some of the most important ideas that I use every day.
Thanks a lot Than-Fans,

General's Lee's Post
Dear Diary,
Today was a gory one. Blood is still spattered on my muscular thighs. I am petrified at what I have seen over these last few days. All of the wounds that my master has acquired. I haven't seen something as gruesome as when a soldier was shooting a cannon and it blew up in his face. I wanted to cry but horses can't cry. Some days I wish that I was home in my pen. Alone and isolated from all of the gunshots and terror that I hear on a daily basis. I know that I am fighting for my master but it is just wrong. Not only does he kill people but, he slaughters them. Not stopping until everyone who didn't believe what he did was dead.I just hope that these murders will end soon.

Justice
Hey Than-Fans,
Todays killer blog is about justice. What aids justice and what impedes justice.
What Aids Justice:
1. I think that one thing that impedes justice is the law. If you aren't following the rules then you have to be punished and that is what our police force does.
2. Also, I think that another is disappointing your friends and family. I know that when my parents are disappointed in my actions it makes me feel terrible. It makes me want to never do what I did again.
What Impedes Justice:
1. One thing that I think aids justice is peer pressure. If you are with people making stupid decisions you are bound to make those stupid mistakes as well.
2. Another one is the people that in force you to do the bad things in the first place. These people are not the ones that you want to be with. They tell you to do things that you don't want to do.
Thanks for your support Than-Fans,
-Ethan

Museum Of Tolerance
Hey Than-Fans,
Today I have an interesting post about our latest field trip. We as a class, went to Little Tokyo and learned a lot about the Holocaust and the Japanese Concentration Camps.
My first responses to these terrifying events were fear, sadness, and regret. Throughout this whole experience I had a lump in my thought and a tight stomach. Yes, this was scary and gut wrenching but, I have been taught by people's past mistakes not to repeat these catastrophic event.
I was nervous about this whole experience but, all in all, I was informed and have become more knowledgeable.

My Time Capsule
Hey Than-Fans,
I'm coming at you with yet another funky blog. Today I am going to show you what I that people might want to know about me in the near future.
Childhood/Family: I want people to know that my favorite memory of childhood is how I would love to lead the conversation and love the smiles that I put on my peers faces. It makes me smile :)
Heritage/Family Roots: I want people to know that I am 1/18 Cherokee and 50% Scottish and the rest of my ancestors heritage is a mix from everywhere. I got my middle name (Elliott) from a clan that my family has descended from.
Accomplishments/Achievements: I want people to know that I was quite the mighty fine water polo play back in the day. I want them to know not to give up and to always give 110% in all that you do.
Legacies: I want to leave my mark and I want people to know it. I would love to have people think of me and know that he helped the world.
Thanks Than-Fans,
-Your Leader (Ethan)

My Life Motif
Hey Than-Fans,
Today I'm throwing another groovy blog your way. I have chosen to write about the motif that has reappeared in my life as well in The Glory Field. Light vs. Dark.
In my life I have slipped into the dark sometimes only to be pulled out by a friend or a family member and into the light. Wether it was bad grades or feeling guilty for missing a shot that I should have made, my teammates or family have always been there for me to pull me back into the light.
This is like Shep in the sense that he was a crackhead and an addict but he is in the midst of being dragged into the light by Malcolm. He was lost but now he is found.
When you see someone slipping up and making a mistake always be there for them. Always.
